Is there any teacher training course in classical yoga in Thailand?

We Answered:

There are many Yoga TTC in Thailand but not all of them teach Classical Yoga. Mostly you find power yoga.. etc. Try the 240 hours Yoga Teacher Training of Wise Living Yoga Academy. They are from India and recognized by the Yoga Institute of Santacruz so you'll get your yoga certificate. The course will be offered in June 2011 in Chiang Mai (northern Thailand) and the cost is USD 2,200 if you book in advance.

Yoga Teacher Training Sivananda Ashram, Kerala.?

We Answered:

I have not..but I m also very interested..I did a 13 month free full time 8 hours + a day yoga in rishikesh..but since I was last in india even then I did not find any good ones anymore
Because 1:you always know the yogaschool is no good if;
In 1 month you should feel very fine indeed
2The yogaschool works only with donations or ask very little 200 roepies a day including food and accomondation..should be enough.
The teachers do not want to have sex with the students.
After all a yoga teacher works for his karma (and the world's)so asking a lot of money is polluting the whole thing..no good yoga can come out of that
After all its extreemly powerfull.
My teacher tought me everything..but in the end...
I noticed he was a lot after the young students..so I left
The best system is:the one where you pay when you feel better..I m not against huge donations.
Please let me know if you found out !thanx bavo

Where can I go for a 4 week intensive yoga teachers training course SPECIFICALLY from mid Nov to mid Dec 2008?

We Answered:

From the extension of your question, it sounds like you are looking for an ashram or school in India. With this assumption I will try to answer your question.

I have been blessed with the opportunity to study at a few different school in India, from the Swami Chinmayananda ashram in Dharmasala to a Ramakrishna Center in Hyderabad. Of all the school I have visited and studied at, the one where I actually gained the most amount and experience from was the Tureya Ashram in Kodaikanal Southern India.

Their approach is unique because they challenge the classical views of yoga (sometimes dogmatic and hierarchical) and introduce a individual based system which is integrated through various practices and disciplines of the true tradition, including tantra yoga, kriya yoga, and other esoteric practices. Above all, they focus on teaching students how to be strong individual and teachers who are competent in sharing their knowledge of yoga with others.

They have a variety of courses in yoga which are useful and also help you gain wisdom of the spiritual life. They also have a month long teacher training course which it sounds like you might be interested in. Check out their website at: http://www.tureya.com

Travel well, and best wishes on your journey.
