Training Courses Ireland

Hazel Said:

how does one become a vision mixer in ireland?

We Answered:

Hi there. If you have done a course in it, the best people to speak to would be your tutors. They will be able to tell you who to contact for a job and how to get in. If they don't know, contact the T.V. production companies to ask how to get into the role and if they have any runner positions available or in the near future. They will be able to tell you what they look for and maybe even when to apply. Good luck :-)

i want job in ireland refuelling of aircraft?

We Answered:

sounds like you have plenty of qualifications, don't see why you need our help. Just go over to Ireland, find yourself an airport and ask for the job.

Bob Said:

How to become a dog trainer in Ireland.?

We Answered:

There is nothing in Ireland and even in Northern Ireland only very few very basic animal behaviour courses...Lisburn College is doing one and CAFRE at Greenmount near Antrim and Queens in Belfast.......I have a dog training/behaviour business in Co Down and have for 6 years and like to keep up to date with CPD and so apart from some one day events held in Cork, I brought over tutors from the UK for weekend training events and held event myself in Animal Communication, TTouch, Animal First Aid, Animal Accupressure, as well as Obedience, Show Steward skills, Agility, Flyball, Judging seminars, Tracking etc for my own CPD I travelled to the UK and stayed there to do mine ( and my qualifications are all UK achieved, prior to going to NI)

Distance learning is not the way to go, dog training is a practical skill, not paper based so you are correct you 'miss out' although you miss out big time as you don't learn the skills you need....depending on where you live you need to get in touch with any acredited colleges near you and ask...the more people that ask the more likely they are to put a course on...the best you can do regardless of if you get an acredited course or not is to find a good dog club near you and go and learn from the dog trainers there....some Irish trainers are now getting themselves acreditted although they are only a handful who have...but it is the hands on experience you are looking for and someone who is willing to pass on that skill...look on the IKC website to see IKC registered clubs near you...you may also find some private dog training clubs as Irelands training has just started to blossom now they realise there is interest...although there are still too many very old fashioned styled 'trainer's in Ireland still who are using out of date, repressive training methods which is not what you need to learn....you are teaching people to teach their dogs so any courses in mentoring, couselling, coaching skills, assertiveness for humans will be very useful for you and there are lots of good colleges who run those courses.
