Management Training Canada

Leah Said:

Is taking a CRTP(corporate readines training program) in BOW VALLEY COLLEGE, AB a good idea for immigrants?

We Answered:

Hi there,
It’s worth attending the information sessions offered to find out more. Here you can speak with one of the instructors or employment facilitators to see if the course would be right for you.

The Corporate Readiness Training Program provides students with lots of information about how to conduct a job search in Canada, how to write an effective resume, conduct yourself professionally in an interview and how to maintain a job once you get one. There’s also the possibility of an unpaid six week Canadian work experience with a company in Calgary.

There’s a lot to learn which will help you become competitive in the current market and this is important since you will be competing with a large number of Canadians who have recently become job seekers. The course will help you prepare all of the tools you need to be successful in Canada. Another great thing about this course is that there is often funding available to candidates.

I’ve included the website below as well as the dates for the next two information sessions. Good Luck with everything.

Who runs Canada/US the government or the corporate world ?

We Answered:

Good question. If we look at what affects us most day-to-day, then corporations easily matter more than government. The prices we pay are prime examples, everything from gas and tomatoes to bank fees and software.

Corporate control over government is much more a fact in the U.S. The lobbyists (especially defence contractors) don't even care which party gets elected, since they effectively control what bills get passed. And when you have to be a multi-millionaire just to run for office, well, it's pretty clear we're not talking about a true democracy.

In Canada, unfortunately, Senators and the Gov-Gen have almost no influence. The Senate, for example, asked for marijuana decriminalization several years ago, and nothing happened.

Britain's prime ministers are smarter than Canada's: they consult every month with the Queen. It should be part of the Gov-Gen job to advise Canada's prime minister -- and should be part of the PM's job to listen.

The Queen's detached, long-view, objective wisdom is a great advantage that a democratic monarchy has over a plutocratic republic like the U.S.

Worse, those poor sods in the U.S. make their president also their commander-in-chief (as if politics qualifies one to make military decisions). That one fact helps to explain the U.S.'s belligerent history.

I have received an email form Omni Hotel Canada offering for a job. Is the email is true or fake?

We Answered:

Did you request this? If not, then that's red flag number 1. Have you posted your email on Monster.com or other job/cv websites? That might be how they got it, too. Red flag number 2 is the spelling and grammar--it's not correct; I realize that Quebec is officially bilingual, French *and* English being the official languages, but this raises my cautious eyebrow--especially if I hadn't asked them to email me. Be especially wary if they ask for credit card, debit card, or other account numbers, and personal information. In fact, look up the hotel at http://www.omnihotels.com/FindAHotel/Mon… and contact them about this to see if it is legit.
