How do I cancel my La Fitness Pro Results Body of Change personal training contract? We Answered:
Thanks for this information. About 2 months ago, a friend and I got persuaded by a training manager to sign up for personal training. She kind of nabbed us from the cardio section and went through a complete workout with us then sat us down and explained how we could be in the best shape of our lives with personal training, yadda yadda yadda. So my friend and I agreed. So then she said it would be cheaper if we both signed up under one name (mine) and it would be $320 (160 each) a month. The money would be taken out of my account and my friend would pay me. Our agreement is for a whole year. The thing is, since the account was under my name and my bank account info, I was the one that signed the contract, not my friend. So we started training, everything was fine until my friend lost ambition and stopped scheduling training sessions. I kept meeting with the trainer though. Last month she gave me the 160 and the money was taken out of my bank account.
But now on the 27th the money is due again and my friend hasnt trained at all during this month. So now she doesnt want to pay the money and doesnt feel obliged since shes not in the contract! The money will be taken out of my account, but i cant afford 320 by myself! We talked to them about splitting up our account last month but they said no, it couldnt be done unless we wanted to pay a high monthly fee each. So now im really freaking out! Do they expect me to pay 320 a month for a whole year? thats $90 a session, its ridiculous. Any advice? Please help me...

Planning to cancel LA Fitness personal training contract...where do I start? We Answered:
Go into the fitness center. Do not call. Tell them you want to cancel personal training. They will do everything to talk you out of it. Stop them and say look, nothing you say will change my mind, please let's just do this. Keep to this tact.Melissa Said:
Who was worked for LA Fitness? We Answered:
They really do a good business but they also rook you into signing long term contracts with no way out. I would never sigen a contract at a gym unless it was for a definite term and had no penalties for quitting, just giving them adequate notice.Cathy Said:
How do you know what is the best type of fitness equipment and the best place to buy it from?We Answered:
I needed cardio with little to no impact so I purchased a Gazelle Elite Glider (Fitness Quest) I really like it & I can do toning on it as well.My husband really likes his Total Gym Platinum because it uses his own body weight as resistance.
He almost got the Bowflex, but they were recalled because the bows had broken of some of them & they are big & bulky. They almost need a room to themselves.
As for choosing the right one, I think it is up to you & what you are looking for in the equipment you buy. Also, the room you have to accomodate the equipment. And price of course....

Is it hard/easy to hit personal training target at mega gyms like Planet Fitness, Ftiness First, True Yoga etcWe Answered:
I've worked at a couple of these mega gyms. I can tell you with all honesty that you are better off in small fitness clubs (which is what I'm doing now). While there are more potential clients in a larger franchise like Bally Total Fitness or LA Fitness, there is likewise more pressure to sell training. And yes, many gyms do require you to hit a certain sales quota; thus, personal training becomes more about being a sales person and less about giving people what they actually need. Moreover, the competition between trainers (who are working for measly pay most of the time anyway) gets fierce. I got out of the larger franchises for this reason and run my own business now, and also work through a local smaller fitness club. And, I'm a 100 times happier.Jessica Said:
The Cost of a Personal Trainer? We Answered:
I go to 24 Hour Fitness, and the rates are okay. If you are motivated to lose weight and start working out with a trainer, then yes, it's going to be worth it. The trainers are really just there to motivate you and help you re-start your lifestyle. Good luck and have fun! :)Sally Said:
What gym should a personal trainer work for?We Answered:
Up to you, i work out at a smallish gym near my home, and i know the personal trainers are sometimes the only people there running it are the personal trainers although they usually have a client and just leave up a sign saying go to back office if you need assistance and they just keep an eye on it. Again not a personal trainer myself, but i'd say best bet is to try being an independent trainer however if you struggle for business etc then move on to work for a gym. However you could do the reverse which would help build up a client base, as if long as your charming and people find your really helping them then they will be reluctant to change trainer
