Has anyone worked as a customer service representative for BetterTrades?

We Answered:

I'd be wary, googling 'bettertrades scam' returned about 115000 hits. I looked at one of the pages to find out more and apparently they market "free" trading seminars about trading in the stock market. Then when you get there they use high pressure sales techniques to get you to attend the 'real' $3000 trading course.

To make it even worse, after folks have bought in to the $3000 course, they find out that the software they need for making trades at the right time costs an additional $6000. Supposedly you can request a refund -- if you meet the criteria (I wonder how often that happens and if people are even aware of the limitations when they are sold on the bettertrades system).

A $9000 initial investment before you can even start applying the information taught sounds a bit steep. As a comparison, I'm currently taking a stock trading course that was recommended by my mom. It only cost me $900 dollars. I don't know what the bettertrades material is like, but the program I've been taking is amazing. In 3-5 years I could be debt free and quit my day job if I choose.

Anyway, the point of me bringing that up was just to give you an idea of how ridiculous the prices for bettertrades is. Their material might be legit, but it seems to me they are more interested in getting into peoples wallets than helping them attain financial success.

Does anyone know of some good examples of online training materials?

We Answered:

If you're going to be in charge of something like "on-line" training, you might want to become familiar with search engines.

I just found your answer for you, but I want you to go through the motions yourself. It's for your own good.

1) go to www.google.com

2) type in "online training services"

3) read what it says

Is this legal? Honest and Constructive Opinions wanted!?

We Answered:

No, they're not legal - they are all scams. Any of those "work at home" jobs are scams. I know because for years I did classified ads in major newspapers, and we always made people placing those ads prepay or else they'd never pay the newspapers. Flaky, unscrupulous people place those ads to scam others out of their money. Any legitimate job will NOT ask you to pay them - they will pay YOU! Real companies are willing to spend $$ training their employees.

Also, a legit, major newspaper will only post those under "Business Opportunities," not "Employment" because there is no employment offered. Just take it as a lesson learn the hard way and never respond to those again. Sorry this happened to you!
