You volunteer to help out in a school.You just call them up. They will have to run a police check before you get access to the children.

Teachers say its stressful but most of them have not worked in the corporate world and went to uni straight from school. So they have no comparison. Headteachers do work very long hours but the pay is good.

You will need to show them your teaching credentials, transcripts of your own grades, and will have to get a green card to work in the USA, along with a social security card. Start with their web site, nycboe.net. Have courage, for you are entering upon one of the world's most notoriously inefficient, muddled and evil bureaucracies.
