Primary Mathematics Teaching
Constance Said:
Uni Essay : Why teach mathematics in Primary Schools? We Answered:
It's been proven that children (anywhere from 3-10 yrs. old) learn best when they're young. (See Piaget, Chomsky, Bloom, ect.) The brain has the capacity to create new neuro-pathways more readily than adults. Teaching any subject, particularly Math, in primary schools is more efficient because of the student's ability to learn and remember information in the early years of his/her cognitive growth. We should be introducing different languages to students at this level too, instead of later in the middle grades, where it's already a struggle for most students.Suzanne Said:

why mathematics in primary school should be taught as interesting as possible? We Answered:
It is developmentally appropriate for primary schools to use a more hands on approach for every subject. Children before the age of about 11-12 are in the concrete stage of development. They need to be taught in a very concrete manner. With math being a more abstract subject, teachers try to make math more concrete by making it interesting. Actually all subjects should be interesting.Johnnie Said:
whats the best essay book for primary level? We Answered:
As a teacher, you must decide what works for you on teaching methodology for any class, to include math and science for any level. As for where to obtain printed matter, you might try one of these sites:http://www.amazon.com

How can I get a mathematics teaching appointment in Europe or USA?We Answered:
In the USA, you must have a B.A. in Education and at least minor in a particular subject that you want to teach in if a special discipline such as science or math. You also must have a teacher certification or Licensure, which varies from state to state. You would need to know which state you want to teach in and then determine their specific requirements. As for teaching in Europe, I am not as well versed, however, your credentials should be similar with the difference being what your A Levels, O Levels, etc., are like and any specific qualifications training you might need in a given country....also, keep in mind, what language the school will allow you to teach in. Methods of Teaching in UK for Primary Schools? We Answered:
Making sure you teach to all the different learning styles of the pupils in your care. They all learn differently, so you have to teach using a range of styles. The styles are visual, auditory and kinesthetic.https://olt.qut.edu.au/it/ITB116/gen/sta…

Interactive whiteboards are such a break through in attended the 3 learnign styles. You're not just lecturing the kids on things, and showing them, but you can set up 'interactive' (doing) tasks on them so that the kinesthetic learners needs are met.
There are now a wealth of websites for children to use to help learning - the BBC schools site is brilliant. You can buy amazing software too that makes learning fun. E.g.
