Eleanor Said:

What is the best online (undergraduate) College/University for an education Major?

We Answered:

You can easily compare info about these schools in this site - edu.2kool4u.net

Travis Said:

i want to persue higher education online incanada,i am a psychologist with M.Phil in psychology M.Ed?

We Answered:

Online courses generally are good for those continuing education credits required to look like you're actually involved in, ahem, professional development. I'd be cautious about pursuing a totally online degree for a serious career move/change. I'd say the best people to ask about reliable and accredited programs are the ones who'll be doing the hiring after you're done. If you don't have any particular place to hire on in mind, ask the government offices hiring your type of expertise which online diplomas they recognize, and value more.

Rosemary Said:

I have a BA, want 2nd-in Project Management online. Is it possible to transfer my old credits?

We Answered:

Yes, your credits will transfer. You'll have to pay special attention to requirements for a 2nd Bachelor's degree anywhere you go.

I would first consider an online program at a local state university - most have them now.

However, in my personal opinion you would be better of to get a Masters (MS) in Project Management instead of a 2nd Bachelors. More than likely it will require the same (or less) credit hours, and will be graduate degree.

My guess is you would need at least 30 hours for a second Bachelors, it would be roughly the same for a Masters.

Good Luck!

I response to your response - your right, you may have to take GRE or GMAT depending on your undergrad GPA and the school you choose. There are many many online MS business programs in Project Management at accredited state schools.

Almost all B. Schools assume that you do NOT have a background in business. It's not like getting a masters in biology where you need a Bachelor's in Biology to do it.

The big time ivy leauge Business Schools (Harvard, Yale, Princeton), do not even have undergraduate programs in business, only graduate.

Ronald Said:

Do I need an undergraduate in order to get my masters in teaching?

We Answered:

You need at least a Bachelors in the area you want to teach and teacher certification. If you majored in History before you're halfway there but you'll still need to complete the secondary education teaching courses your school offers to fulfill the state's certification requirements. Basically having a Masters doesn't automatically qualify you to teach, you have to have the certification. However, some universities have transition or fast track programs for teaching certification because there are such severe teaching shortages nationwide.

On a side note, I'm not sure where you are but in SC we have a career changers loan for just this type situation. Students with an undergraduate degree may apply for a great tuition grant (converts to a loan if conditions are not met) to go back to school to get their certification.

Yolanda Said:

online degree in education.?

We Answered:

My best recommendation would be to contact a number of colleges to find the best fit for you and your needs (tuition, schedule, career opportunities, etc.). Too often people enroll in the first school they find rather than taking the time to find the best school for them. Taking that time now could save you a lot of time, money and frustration if you choose the wrong school.
This site has some good info on regionally accredited online degrees and some colleges that offer them to help expand your search:
http://www.ecollegefinder.org
I think you can enter your info on there for any colleges you are interested in and they will send you more info for free. Good Luck!
