What I recommend is: don't listen to your guidance counselor, Take biology! Who are they to tell you that you can't pass? if you want it very much, you WILL pass. I know people from the UK who are starting their life over at 30 in the field of science because their counselors discouraged them to take science in A-levels. I have no idea what your situation is but it seems to me like in the UK there is a lot of prejudice against working class students and schools do nothing to nurture their potential.

That being said, biology is a very broad field. there is human health, animal health, environmental biology, plant biology (botany), zoology, you name it. You could get technical college jobs like lab technician, or vet technician, or you can do more business-like stuff like management in the field of science. But if you really want to become a scientist you have to have at least a Master's level. don't let that discourage you - do what you want!

You cannot have a "best" or "reputable" university that offers an online biology masters.
