Having a Ph.D. is GOOD and you can start off as a visiting lecturer / part time adjuct faculty. Then, as you gain experience and familiarize yourself with the school, once a fulltime tenure track position comes available, apply - they may already have you in mind to hire. You can do anything you put your mind to if you work hard at it.

I don't see why it should take 2 years to complete the training unless your going for a degree which seems kind of pointless.

FACTS:
Whether or not you can get a job is largely dependent on your work ethic and desire to find work since most schools do not give you work when you graduate.

I have a B.S. in Org. Comm. When I graduated the school did not hook me up with names - I worked my contacts and joined the alum association for more contacts.

PF is pretty large and pushy which are turn offs to me. They do have a wide variety of options. U.S. Career is more focused in what they offer and much more pleasant to deal with in my view. Both are accredited which is an absolute must.

OPINION:
You should call the schools and see what they say.

p.s. I am not a graduate from either school but I do know the importance of going to only accredited schools even if for just one class.

LPN is easy to get, then you can go for RN.

But switch career is Not a easy thing, you need to finish prerequisites to get in medical field( Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, psychology..) and it is very competitive( many school 4 to 10:1) and tuition is private school is pretty high. In recession time, no permanent job opening even in heath care.
