Stephanie Said:

Are there any distance learning programs in economics?

We Answered:

There is a fully accredited master of science degree that can be read at Georgia Southern University. This is, specifically, a master of science in applied economics, and it seems to be designed primarily for business graduates. The curriculum looks to include some good macro and microeconomics and some basic econometrics, so it should be a good choice.

The University of London also offers some economics degrees through its external program. There is a bachelor of science degree in economics program that is lead by the London School of Economics--one of the premier institutions in the world. The University of London also offers some master's programs through its School of Oriental and African Studies (the poor man's LSE). There are master of science degrees agricultural economics and applied environmental economics.

Are there any accredited online distance learning writing courses?

We Answered:

try contacting eden institute. info@eden-institute.eu i study there myself so can give a reference :) im not sure what accreditation you are looking for and what type of writing course you are looking for if it is journalism writing you are looking for i would suggest to choose a full-time time university. However i would also suggest http://www.home-study.com/ when it comes to journalism writing. Heard good responses.

Can anyone suggest an ACCREDITED,distance learning college that provides bachelor degree in holistic health?

We Answered:

I think you are going to have a problem finding a good source for the program you describe. "Holistic" or "Natural" health is not a recognized academic subject because of the large preponderance of non-scientific and quack material mixed into this field. And exactly what do you mean by "transfer my degree"? Do you mean you would want to go to grad school? if so, then the name of the degree would not matter as much as the set of courses you took. If you want to get a graduate degree in, say, nutrition, then you would have to have completed a year of biology, general chemistry and biochemistry, possibly also organic chemistry.

I think your best bet is to take a look at the course offerings in your major state university. A lot of big state schools have departments that focus on food science, dietetics, nutrition, physical therapy, etc. That might be what you want. And, there are a lot of accredited 'bricks and mortar' schools these days that teach many courses online.

There is a reason why "alternative" health is alternative. It is not in line with what academics consider to be reasonable, correct and effective. So, looking to find an academic group that teaches alternative health would be kind of like looking for a degree in Satanism from a Christian school.

What is a distance learning accredited institution?

We Answered:

There are two types of accreditation, Regional and National. Regional (RA) is higher and is the same as most traditional colleges in the US have.

National accreditation is useful in some fields but usually only in addition to regional accreditation.

Discuss It!
